The 2017 June/July results of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) were released on Wednesday, July 18, 2017. The examinations body announced that it withheld the results of 137,295 candidates, representing 8.89 per cent of those who took the examinations. This, according to Olu Adenipekun, the Head, Nigeria National Office, was due to examination malpractice. “The cases are being investigated and reports of the investigations will be presented to the appropriate committee of the Council in due course for consideration,” he said.
